Challenge

How will we balance growth with profitability from a performance lens.

The primary objective was to scale, the brand wanted to sell more of their quality Japanese chocolates, focusing on their direct-to-consumer (D2C) business all the while ensuring a 4x return on ad spend (ROAS).

Implementing strategic targeting & creative innovations to drive conversions.

Our solution involved leveraging advanced targeting & creative strategies. We conducted audience segmentation experiments using Advanced+ targeting, broad campaigns, super campaigns, & A/B testing to identify and engage the most responsive audiences.

Emphasis was placed on mid & bottom funnel targeting, which notably boosted conversion rates by reaching potential customers who were already considering a purchase. We also looked towards promoting the hero product through diverse creative options helped keep it appealing and top-of-mind for consumers.

Additionally, Google played a pivotal role by utilizing short-tail keywords like “premium chocolate” & “Japanese chocolate” to drive targeted traffic to the website.

Result

Results can't get any sweeter than this.

The results of this strategic approach were impressive. We achieved a 61% increase in new customers, effectively expanding the customer base through precise targeting & engaging content.

Overall sales experienced a 5% year-on-year increase, complemented by a remarkable 66% growth in returning customers, underscoring a significant boost in customer loyalty and repeat business. Finally, we have to mention our best sellers that saw a 40% increase in sales.
